ABOUT MARK GACESA

With over 30 years in the industry, Mark Gacesa is a multi-award winning, university qualified Architectural Interior Designer based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and the Creative Design Director of Ultraspace, a multi-disciplined design studio that has both commercial and residential clientele stretching the East Coast of Australia, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

Mark has held the DIA/HIA Qld Interior Design, Qld Interior Decoration, Qld Kitchen Design, Qld Bathroom Design, Qld and Australian Kitchen Project and Qld Bathroom Project awards – just to name a small number…. as well as an International Design et al Kitchen Design Award. Being a trend setter rather than a trend follower, Mark’s uniquely glamorous, high-end project work consistently features innovate use of materials, extensive use of customisation, unsurpassed attention to detail and a strong love for intricate lighting that not only meets his client’s expectations, but helps take them on a journey they could not have imagined.

Mark has been involved in the interior design industry all his life – constantly working in the family interior design business while growing up and he completed a bachelor degree in interior design at Brisbane’s QUT Gardens Point Campus in 1990.

During and after his studies, Mark has worked for some of Australia’s leading national and international interior design and architectural firms in Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast to gain a wealth of experience in both commercial and residential design.

Starting Ultraspace in January 2004, Mark has enjoyed a success of projects ranging from many multi-million dollar domestic properties to large commercial fit-outs, resorts, restaurants, bars and building designs and refurbishments.

Mark’s projects have been featured on national television in luxury project programs, been showcased on feature design websites, represented in magazines over the years and his designing has won him multiple national, international and state design awards – many residential and commercial awards have also been won by builders and contractors for his designs. He has also been approached by several leading companies and manufacturers to design furniture and bathroom ranges for domestic and international sales.
